List of Contents

To activate a Sage Ability, open your Inventory by pressing the + button and scroll to the Key Items tab. Select the Sage Ability that you want to use, and choose the Summon option.

You will know a Sage Ability is activated when its icon is lit up or glowing. When the icon is dark, the Sage Ability is not activated.

Sage Abilities and Avatars can only be summoned and used outside of Safe Zones, including Towns, Settlements, Stables, and Shrines. They automatically deactivate when you enter a Safe Zone, and also automatically activate when you exit.

To use a Sage Ability, you will need to stand close to the Sage Avatar and press A when a Let's Go! bubble appears at the bottom of the screen.
| Sage Ability | How to Use |
|---|---|
Vow of Tulin |
・Upon activation, Tulin generates a gust of wind that blows in the direction you are facing.
・Blows away small objects and enemies. ・Lets you paraglide further than usual. ・Passively performs ranged attacks to nearby enemies with a low chance to stagger them with a headshot. |
Vow of Yunobo |
・Upon activation, Yunobo turns into a medium-sized projectile that will burn things along a straight path and generates an explosive force on impact.
・Can be used to clear breakable rocks and blow away enemies. ・Can be used to set fire on enemies and terrain along Yunobo's path. ・Can be used even while on Ultrahand vehicles such as the hover bike. ・Passively performs melee attacks to nearby enemies with a low chance to knock them away with heavy attacks. |
Vow of Sidon |
・Upon activation, Sidon envelops Link with a Water Barrier that lasts for a few seconds. It can be used as a one-time shield from incoming damage or converted into a wide projectile on Link's first swing of a weapon.
・The water projectile extinguishes flames and clears muck. ・Passively performs mid-range attacks to nearby enemies with spear attacks. |
Vow of Riju |
・Upon activation, Riju generates an electric field centered around her that expands in range over the next few seconds. Shooting an arrow at a spot within this range summons an explosive lightning bolt at its point of impact.
・Can be used to clear breakable rocks and blow away enemies. ・Shocks any nearby enemies, causing them to drop their weapons. ・Passively performs melee attacks to nearby enemies. Also has a low chance for Riju to block an attack towards Link. |
Vow of Mineru |
・Upon interaction, lets Link control a Mech Construct. Objects can be fused to either of the Construct's Arms, or its back for combat and traversal purposes.
・While controlling the Mech Construct, lets Link cross shallow sections of Gloom or Lava. ・Passively performs melee attacks to nearby enemies. |

You can deactivate a Sage Ability by going back to the Key Items Menu and selecting the ability icon. Choose the Dismiss option and this will deactivate a Sage's Avatar until you activate it back again.
The Vow of Tulin, is obtained after completing the Tulin of Rito Village Main Quest. This quest is found in the northwest section of the map between the cold regions of Tabantha and Hebra. Help Tulin and the rest of the Rito solve the mystery behind the oppressive blizzard by ascending to the skies and clearing the Wind Temple.
The Vow of Yunobo, is obtained after completing the Yunobo of Goron City Main Quest. This quest is found in the northeast section of the map in the mountainous region of Eldin. The Gorons seem to be under the influence of questionable Rock Roasts, and you'll have to help Yunobo get to the source by diving into the depths and clearing the Fire Temple.

Zora's Domain has been covered in sludge and the Zora lost access to clean water. Help Prince Sidon cleanse his kingdom of this plague by clearing the Water Temple.
The Vow of Riju, is obtained after completing the Riju of Gerudo Town Main Quest. This quest is found in the southwest section of the map in the desert region of Gerudo. An infestation of Gibdos has swarmed the Gerudo Desert forcing the Gerudo tribe to resort to living underground. Assist Chief Riju to exterminate the Gibdos and destroy their hive in the Lightning Temple.
The Vow of Mineru, is obtained after completing the Guidance from Ages Past Main Quest. This quest is found in the depths beneath the Faron Region following the events of Find the Fifth Sage. Help Mineru assemble a Construct body for her spirit to reside in and help her regain her secret stone in the Spirit Temple.

You can use the Sage's Will that you have collected to increase the attack power of each Sage ability. Go to a Goddess Statue, such as the one inside the Emergency Shelter in Lookout Landing, and choose one of the Sage abilities to upgrade them.
