Zelda Tears of the Kingdom - Tulin Profile and Backstory

Tulin is returning to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and appears to be replacing Teba as Revali's successor. Read on for details on Tulin's backstory from Breath of the Wild, character traits, as well as his role in Tears of the Kingdom.

Tulin's Role in Tears of the Kingdom

Ally of Link and Zelda

Zelda TOTK - Tulin Charging with Riju and Sidon

In the final trailer of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom released last April 13, 2023, Tulin was briefly shown charging into battle together with Riju and Sidon.

Given his family's alliance with Link in Breath of the Wild, Tulin will still likely be an ally of the protagonists in Tears of the Kingdom. However, it seems like this time he will be taking a more active part in the story and in battles.

Final Trailer: Everything We Learned

Successor of Champion Revali

Zelda TOTK - Tulin Flying with Link

Tulin is also shown assisting Link while flying a couple of times, similar to Revali's Gale that aids Link in the sky. Tulin is also shown to have grown older than when he first appeared in Breath of the Wild.

While Teba was originally touted to be Revali's successor, marketing material and the Final Trailer implies that Tulin is the successor of Revali as the new Rito Warrior in Tears of the Kingdom.
