1 Drop a Weapon or Shield Near the Rock Octorok
2 Wait for the Rock Octorok to Eat the Equipment
3 Pick Up the Equipment

Drop a Weapon or Shield Near the Rock Octorok

Zelda TotK - Drop a Weapon or Shield Near the Rock Octorock
Press the Plus (+) Button to open the Inventory menu. Choose a weapon or shield that is close to breaking and select the Drop button to drop it beside the Rock Octorok.

Find the Rock Octorok northwest Marakuguc Shrine

The nearest Rock Octorok that you can find is outside Goron City northwest of Marakuguc Shrine.

Wait for the Rock Octorok to Eat the Equipment

Move away from the Rock Octorok and wait for it to eat the weapon or shield. The Rock Octorok will chew the equipment and repair it in the process as indicated by the sparkle effects.

Repair Champions' Weapons by fusing it

You normally cannot repair the Champions' weapons but you can bypass this by fusing them with another weapon, shield, or material first.

Note that these weapons will not receive any random weapon modifiers once fed to the Rock Octorok.

How to Get the Champions' Weapons

You cannot repair amiibo weapons

Rock Octoroks cannot repair amiibo weapons and shields. If you attempt to drop the amiibo weapon or shield, the enemy will immediately spit it out. This is also happens even if you fuse the amiibo weapon or shield.

Pick Up the Equipment

Zelda TotK - Pick Up the Equipment
Pick up the equipment once the Rock Octorok throws it back to you. Open the Inventory to see that it has been repaired and has a random weapon modifier included.

Note that the Rock Octorok can only repair your weapon once. If you want to repair another piece of equipment, you need to find a different Rock Octorok.
