Where to Find the King Gleeok

There are a total of four King Gleeoks in Tears of the Kingdom, located in hard-to-reach areas that will require you to use a lot of stamina or get creative with your Zonai Devices. Three of the King Gleeoks can be found on the Sky Islands, while the other one can be found in the Depths.

Gerudo Sky

Use the Gerudo Highlands Skyview Tower and paraglide southwest to the farthest island on the map. You can find the King Gleeok on the largest sky island of Gerudo Sky which is also located above the Lightning Temple. You can pin this temple on the map for easier tracking.

Head to Kumamayn Shrine and rotate the catapult towards the direction of the island. Land on the nearest island first and use this space to create a makeshift hot-air balloon to elevate yourself further. Once at a certain height, glide towards the island and use Vow of Tulin to push yourself closer.

Use the Thyphlo Ruins Skyview Tower and head towards the Drenan Highlands Chasm to enter the Depths. Head northeast and activate the Katenim Lightroot to see the Gleeok Den. Make sure to bring your hover bike to explore the depths safely!

Additionally, the King Gleeok found in Gleeok Den is Gloom Infested and can inflict Gloom with its attacks. Be sure to bring food with the Sunny status effect to cure Gloom damage, or equip the Depths set for Gloom Resistance.

How to Beat the King Gleeok

How to Beat Frost Gleeok

Phase 1

Shoot All Three Heads

Shoot all three heads of King Gleeok in order to make it fall to the ground. Each head will have its own health bar, which you need to deplete, in order for King Gleeok to be stunned.

Bows that can multi-shot are the best weapons to bring since they fire off x3 or x5 arrows at the same time. Fuse these with Keese Eyeballs then shoot them at the Gleeok to launch the arrows that will automatically track all three heads in one attack.

Melee King Gleeok's Heads

One King Gleeok has fallen, immediately run up and it hits heads with melee attacks. Repeat this process until King Gleeok is defeated.

Get On High Ground

Use Ascend or Rocket Shield to get on up high ground. This will make it easier to aim at and hit each of King Gleeok's heads.

Get Behind Cover to Avoid King Gleeok's Attacks

Hide Behind Pillars
King Gleeok will have several elemental attacks that do high amounts of damage. Get behind rocks and pillars to avoid its attacks.

Phase 2

Use Zonai Springs to Jump Higher

Zelda TotK - Zonai Spring
Bring at least two Zonai Springs as King Gleeok will fly higher during the second phase. You can use these springs to elevate yourself further and reach it close enough to hit it with your bow attacks.

Use Recall on Ice Spikes to Reach King Gleeok

When King Gleeok is low on HP, it will fly up into the air for the rest of the fight. You can reach King Gleeok by getting on one of the ice spikes it throws down, using Recall on it. You can also use your Paraglider to ride the updraft caused by King Gleeok's thunderstrikes.

Alternatively still, you can use Rocket Shield to quickly and easily reach King Gleeok.

Use Air Vents to Get High Up in the Sky

TOTK - Use Air Vents King Gleeok

If you're having trouble recalling the ice spikes, you can use the air vents to launch yourself as high as possible in the sky and shoot an arrow fused with Aerocuda Eyeball at the King Gleeok.

The infused arrow has a prolonged projectile time so it travels a lot longer in the air and could automatically track Gleeok's head if the arrow comes close to it.
