Interact with Yunobo's avatar by pressing A to turn him to a ball and direct him using left analog stick. Press the A button again to launch him forward. Upon contact with anything, the avatar will explode and will apply a burn to those caught within the blast.
Launching Yunobo can help you break cracked rocks and walls that get in your way. This can help you remove obstructions in caves without the need to craft hammers.
This also works for other breakable rocks like ore deposits and Zonaite deposits
You can also use Yunobo as a temporary shield for Link as Yunobo will immediately move in front of him upon interaction.
Yunobo wil also automatically charge upon riding any Zonai builds. This will allow you to use his ability on the side and clear out obstacles or enemies on your way.
However, this also means that he will be boarding your ride and add weight to it, making it harder for you to steer it. If you're exploring areas with your hover bike, it is best to dismiss his avatar first to be able to control it smoothly.
Yunobo will also engage with enemies on active battles. He wields a Cobble Crusher that he swings on enemies to inflict damage. The swing does take a little time before it hits, so make sure to keep him on close to enemies to help him land attacks.
To summon or dismiss the avatar of Yunobo, open your inventory and look for the Vow of Yunobo under Key Items. From here, you can choose to either summon or dismiss Yunobo.
The avatar of Yunobo will be summoned by default upon the acquisition of the vow. You can only dismiss it in your inventory using the same process above.
Like other Vows, Yunobo will not show up when you are in settlements, including the area in Goron City where you first receive it after the Fire Temple. This means that you should first leave any settlement and head into an open world area in order for Yunobo to show up and aid you.
Additionally, Yunobo will not appear in the first section of the Royal Hidden Passage as it is part of the Emergency Shelter. You can only use his vow in the deeper sections of the cave.
You can exchange 4 Sage's Wills to any Goddess Statues found across Hyrule to upgrade the Vow of Yunobo into the Solemn Vow of Yunobo, which increases the sage's attack power.
Upgrading the vows does not reduce the cooldown of their skills nor gain any additional effects. This might be a little underwhelming for most, but at least they get stronger in fights!
