Completing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) does not end with defeating Ganondorf. To 100% complete the game, you need to complete all side adventures, fill out the Hyrule Compendium, find all Koroks, and complete all Shrines. There are a total of 60 Side Adventures and 139 Side Quests to complete in Tears of the Kingdom. It is recommended to complete the Side Adventures first as they open up several gameplay features such as the ability to upgrade armor, expand inventory, and pieces of armor.
Once you have completed the main story, a counter will appear in the Adventure Log Screen showing the number of side adventures and side quests that you have completed. This helps you keep track of unfinished quests or quests that you have not started yet.

There are a total of 152 Shrines in the surface and sky of Hyrule. Activating these shrines adds a fast travel point on the map and completing these gives you one Light of Blessing.
Having four Lights of Blessing lets you upgrade your health and stamina at the Goddess Statue.
There are 120 Lightroots that you need to activate to illuminate the Depths. These serve as fast travel points and checkpoints as they restore cracked hearts caused by Gloom.

There are 509 entries to fill out in the Hyrule Compendium. These are sorted based on five categories: creatures, monsters, materials, equipment, and treasures.
If you have enough Rupees, you can skip taking pictures of the entries and buy the photos from Robbie instead. You will need to pay 100 Rupees for regular photos and 500 Rupees for photos of the bosses.

Filling Out the Compendium Walkthrough
There are plenty of armor pieces and armor sets to collect and upgrade in Tears of the Kingdom. Some of these are obtained from side adventures or from treasure chests in hard to reach places.
List of All Armor and Locations
There are 1000 Korok Seeds to collect all over Hyrule, 938 Korok Seeds of these are found on the surface while the remaining 62 Korok Seeds are in the sky.
Collecting these allows you to expand your weapon slot and increase inventory space when you give the seeds to Hestu. Finding all Korok Seeds gives you the Hestu's Gift Key Item as the final reward.
All 1000 Korok Seed Locations and Rewards
There are a total 22 Character Profiles that you need to register as part of the 100 percent completion progress. Most of the profiles are unlocked as you progress through the main story while some are from side adventures that unlock gameplay features.
All Confirmed New and Returning Characters
There are 101 Bubbul Gems to obtain from Bubbulfrogs in caves. You can use this item to exchange armor pieces and monster materials from Koltin. Obtaining all Bubbul Gems will reward you with Koltin's Fabric.
There are a total of 81 Hudson Signs to support all over Hyrule's surface. Helping Addison support these signs will reward you with random cooked dishes, materials, and Rupees.
Supporting all 81 signs will reward you with Addison's Fabric, which you can use to change your paraglider's looks at Hateno Village.
There are no options for creating a New Game+ in Tears of the Kingdom. You can only have one save file per profile and if you want to create another one, either you overwrite your previous save, or start a new game in another profile.
Completing the main story of the game adds a star icon to your save file when you open the load screen in the settings or title screen.
The completion rate percentage will also appear on the bottom-right corner of the map screen to show your overall post game content progress.
