Zakusu Shrine (Proving Grounds: Ascension) in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) can be unlocked by completing The High Spring and the Light Rings Shrine Quest in the Mount Lanayru Region. Read on to learn how to unlock Zakusu Shrine, its location, puzzle solution, as well as all treasure chest locations in Zakusu Shrine!
Zakusu Shrine can be found in Mount Lanayru, starting from the Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and heading towards west.
Its exact coordinates are 3527, -1482, 0168 but the shrine will only reveal itself after you've completed The High Spring and the Light Rings Shrine Quest.
You'll need to equip the Snowquill Set or prepare dishes that prevent freezing, given that the shrine is located somewhere with low temperature.
This is a Proving Grounds Shrine where your combat skills and resourcefulness will be tested.
Use the weapons and items inside the Shrine to defeat enemies and clear the area!
Head to the entrance of the Spring of Wisdom, and talk with Nazbi to begin The High Spring and the Light Rings Shrine Quest.
Travel to Mount Lanayru Skyview Tower and launch yourself from there to glide towards the sky island just above the Spring of Wisdom.
You'll find a sigil after landing on the island. Examine it to unveil the first of 7 rings.
Once the first ring appears, slide down through the first ring.
Dive down and follow the light as it descends. This will tell you where the next ring will be!
Once you land, you'll need to go through 6 more rings. Simply follow the light and the path to find the next rings!
Once you've gone through the last ring, the shrine should reveal itself. Enter to begin!
When you enter the Shrine, you will have no weapons or equipment so you'll have to take what's available at the entrance!
When you enter the chamber, there will be constructs on the first floor. Defeat them with your weapons of choice. Don't ignore any as you'll need to defeat all of them.
Once the constructs are defeated, use the Ultrahand to place the candle on the Balloon to fly upward to the top.
At the top, glide down to the platform.
Augment your weapons by using Fuse to add rockets to your weapons. This will come in handy later.
On this upper level, you will encounter a number of constructs. Defeat them and progress forward. We recommend saving your arrows for later.
When weapons aren't enough, you can use the environment and the items in it, such as traps to defeat enemies.
From this height, you can take down a number of constructs with the bow and arrow. This saves you from getting damaged in close range.
If you cannot reach a Construct from the top, glide across the gaps to reach the lower sections.
Once all the constructs are defeated, the door at the top will open. You'll receive all your equipment back and can use a rocket or the balloon to head back up!
Examine the Shrine to receive your reward!

The Soldier III Spear can be obtained once the door is open. Right before you examine the Shrine, you'll see the chest! Simply open it to receive your reward.
