Kiuyoyou Shrine Location and Walkthrough

Kiuyoyou Shrine (Fire and Ice) in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK) can be found at Rowan Plain, east of the Forgotten Temple in the Great Hyrule Forest Region. Read on to learn its location, puzzle solution, as well as all treasure chest locations in Kiuyoyou Shrine.

Kiuyoyou Shrine Location

Kiuyoyou Shrine can be found at Rowan Plain in the Great Hyrule Forest region. It is also due east of the Forgotten Temple.

The exact coordinates of the shrine is at -1106, 2086, 0104.

The Kiuyoyou Shrine is surrounded by grassy plains, given that it is located in the Great Hyrule Forest Region.

To get there, travel to Pikida Stonegrove Skyview Tower, and launch yourself from there to glide southeast towards the Kiuyoyou Shrine.

Puzzle Shrine

This is a Puzzle type Shrine, so you need to solve the puzzle to reach the end and get a Light of Blessing.

Try to look around the area to find a way to move forward, and remember to use Link's Ultrahand, Ascend, or Recall abilities!

Kiuyoyou Shrine Puzzle Solution

1. Melt the Block of Ice
2. Place the Ice on the Switch
3. Place the Ice on the Ledge on the Left
4. Go Underneath the Ledge and Use Ascend
5. Lift the Block of Ice Then Recall It
6. Paraglide to the Next Area
7. Block the Fire with the Stone Slab
8. Attach the Huge Block of Ice to the Stone Slab
9. Slide the Block of Ice on the Spikes
10. Place the Ice and Stone Slab on the Big Switch

Video Guide

1. Melt the Block of Ice

Grab the huge block of ice using Ultrahand, then place it in the fire nearby to melt it a little bit.

Take it out of the fire when the block of ice has become a bit smaller.

2. Place the Ice on the Switch

Next, look for the switch near the big gate to your left and place the block of ice on top of it. Doing so opens the gate so you can enter the next room.

3. Place the Ice on the Ledge on the Left

Once you enter the big room, look to your left to see a chest. To get this, you need to grab the small block of ice again and place it on the ledge below where the chest is.

4. Go Underneath the Ledge and Use Ascend

Next, go underneath the ledge and use Ascend to get to where the block of ice is.

5. Lift the Block of Ice Then Recall It

Lift the block of ice using Ultrahand then bring it back down. Afterwards, get on the object and recall it to have it lift you up to where the chest is. Open the chest and grab the Zonaite Spear inside.

6. Paraglide to the Next Area

Head over to the incline nearby and use the air to paraglide to the next area.

7. Block the Fire with the Stone Slab

When you get to the next area, activate your Ultrahand and grab the slab of stone in front of you.

Wait for the block of ice that drops to the fire to completely melt before using the slab of stone to block the fire. Then, wait for the next block of ice to drop.

8. Attach the Huge Block of Ice to the Stone Slab

Next, grab the huge block of ice using Ultrahand and attach it to the stone slab.

9. Slide the Block of Ice on the Spikes

Place the block of ice and slab of stone on top of the inclined spiky platform to slide it to the other side of the room.

10. Place the Ice and Stone Slab on the Big Switch

Finally, grab the stone slab and the huge block of ice and place it on the big switch in the first room. Make sure that the slab of stone is facing the direction of the fire so the ice won't melt.

The switch will then open the gate to the altar. Examine it to get a Light of Blessing.

Place a small block of ice on the switch to open the gate to the bigger room. Next, look to your left and place the block of ice on the ledge below where the chest is.

Ascend from underneath the ledge then lift the block of ice. Bring it back down again then get on top of the block of ice.

Recall it to lift you up to the chest where a Zonaite Spear is waiting for you.
