With The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)'s release on May 12, 2023 a demo is sure to not release. Learn more about demo release announcements for TotK as well as which previous Legend of Zelda games were given a demo pre-release.

There have been no official announcement for the release of a Tears of the Kingdom demo. Considering the previous entry Breath of the Wild did not have a demo release, it is expected that Tears of the Kingdom will follow suit.

In the past, mainline Zelda games typically have not received any demo, with the last one in recent history being the 20-minute demo that was part of the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition on the Nintendo GameCube.
Since the introduction of the Nintendo e-Shop and demos for Nintendo games such as Metroid Dread and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, the only Zelda game we have seen receive a demo was Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, but it is not a mainline Zelda game, so don't expect a Tears of the Kingdom demo!
