Press the A Button While Near a Ledge

Zelda TotK - Press the A Button While Near a Ledge
To dive from the ground, stand next to a high ledge and wait for the Jump prompt to appear onscreen. Press the A Button to jump and dive from the ground. You can use this to dive in the areas around the Sky.

How to Dive Into the Water

Press the A Button to Jump and Dive

Zelda TotK - Press the A Button to Jump and Dive
To dive into a body of water, stand next to a platform and wait for the Jump prompt to appear. Press the A Button causes Link to perform a diving motion into the water.

Note that you cannot dive deep underwater as Link will always swim to the surface after diving.
