The Master Sword is one of the best weapons to use in the game, mainly because of its charge mechanic. This feature makes it unbreakable, and it will only need a recharge of 10 minutes to be used again.

Effective Against Gloom-like enemies

The Master Sword deals high damage against certain enemies such as the Gloom Hands and Phantom Ganon.

Late in the game, you can switch to your Master Sword when facing these enemies to have an easier time.

How to Get Back and Restore the Master Sword

Scimitar of the Seven

Scimitar of the Seven is a Champion Weapon that can provide decent damage on enemies when used. You can get this after completing The Missing Owner side quest.

Fuse Materials to Increase Damage

You can fuse the Scimitar of the Seven with powerful end-game materials to increase its base attack power.

Other Gerudo-type weapons such as the Gerudo Spear and Gerudo Scimitar can also be fused with other materials to increase their damage.

Best Two-Handed Weapons

Boulder Breaker

Tears of the Kingdom - Boulder BreakerBoulder Breaker 38 ・Clear the Soul of the Gorons and give Cobble Crusher x1, Flint x5, and Diamond x3 to Fugo.

The Boulder Breaker is also one of the Champion Weapons that you can get after completing its respective main quest. Look for Fugo in in Rohan's Forge to activate the Soul of the Gorons side quest.

Can Break Cracked Rocks

The Boulder Breaker has the Demolisher passive ability, which allows the weapon to be used to destroy cracked walls and rocks. The weapon is also effective against Stone Pebblits and Stone Talus.

The Royal Claymore is a powerful base weapon that you can be further upgraded with fuse materials. You can easily farm this weapon in Hyrule Castle.

Deals Double Damage During Flurry Rush

The Royal Claymore has a passive ability wherein it deals double damage whenever you perform a Flurry Rush.

Fuse the weapon with a material with a high fuse attack power and you can mostly one-shot most enemies when counterattacking with a Flurry Rush.

Best Spears

Lightscale Trident

Tears of the Kingdom - Lightscale TridentLightscale Trident 22 ・Clear the Glory of the Zora side quest and give Zora Spear x1, Flint x5, and Diamond x3 to Rothuri.

The Lightscale Trident can double its damage when used wet. You can boost its damage further by fusing powerful monster materials like Silver Lynel Mace Horn which will also double after triggering the wet condition.

Deals Double Damage When Wet

The Lightscale Trident has a passive ability wherein it increases its attack power when the weapon is wet.

If you have Vow of Sidon, you can set up a water shield to keep the weapon wet and boost its attack. In addition, if you fuse the weapon with a Silver Lynel Saber Horn, its attack power will increase to 150.

Both the Zora Spear and Lightscale Trident have the same passive ability, with the former being obtainable early in the game.

Royal Guard's Spear

Royal Spear has the same passive ability as the Royal Claymore. It deals double damage whenever you perform a Flurry Rush. If you prefer using spears, you can use this one instead of the Royal Claymore.

Great Eagle Bow

The Great Eagle Bow allows you to fire three arrows in one shot. Once you complete the Rito Village main quest, look for Teba to unlock the Legacy of the Rito which allows you to get this bow after completion.

Fires 3 Arrows with High Firing Rate

The Great Eagle Bow has a high firing rate, making it easy to use. In addition, it fires 3 arrows but only consuming one in your inventory.

You can fuse this weapon with the Keese Eyeball to allow you to zoom while aiming.

The Savage Lynel Bow can also fire 3 arrows but has a normal firing rate. However, it has a stronger base attack power, so you can save your arrows and materials to use them for this bow.

Note that this bow has a very low drop rate when you obtain them from Silver Lynels and White-Maned Lynels.

You can find it in a treasure chest in Hyrule Castle Docks underneath Hyrule Castle and can be obtained as soon as you reach Lookout Landing in the surface. You can purchase a second shield after completing a side quest in Hateno Village.

However, unlike Silver Lynel drops, you cannot put Talus Hearts in your inventory. If you want to save it for later use, fuse it on the spot and just visit Break-a-Part Shop in Tarrey Town to unfuse the material without losing it.

Zelda TotK - Flame-Emitter Shield

The Zonai Flame Emitter is one of earliest Zonai Devices you can get in the game. Attaching it to your weapon or shield can provide Heat Resistance and help you make fire when used.

You can get this from the Zonai Dispenser connected to the Mining Cave in the Great Sky Island.

Construct Weapons

You can also get great starter weapons from Soldier Constructs. You can find several Construct Enemies early in the game, so make sure to defeat them to take their weapons.
