All Master Kohga Locations and Where to Find

Start at the Great Abandoned Central Mine

Near the end of A Mystery in the Depths Main Quest, you will be ambushed with Master Kohga and forced into a boss fight. Defeat Master Kohga in this battle to unlock Master Kohga of the Yiga Clan.

Head to the Abandoned Gerudo Mine

Head to the direction where Master Kohga escaped and follow the statues until you reach your destination.

If you just came back to this Side Adventure and can't remember where to start, it's from the Great Abandoned Central Mine in the Central Hyrule Depths region.

Be sure to activate Lightroots along the way!

Abandoned Gerudo Mine Location

You'll end up near the western edge of the Depths map (Coordinates: -3716, -2883, -0487).

The footsoldiers on wings can be ignored as they can only shoot arrows at you while flying in circles.

Interact with Master Kohga

South of the mine is where Master Kohga is. Check out what he's doing with the mark to startle him.

Another boss fight! (No, you still can't use Ultrahand or Recall on his vehicle).

Head to the Abandoned Lanayru Mine

After defeating him again in battle, Master Kohga will tell you where he'll go next. Another Steward Contruct will confirm that you should meet Master Kohga at the Abandoned Lanayru Mine.

Before you leave, open the chest for a Huge Crystallized Charge and talk to the other Steward Construct for the Hovercraft Schema Stone.

Fast Travel to Makasura Shrine

Fast travel to Makasura Shrine near Kakariko Village and head north into a chasm opening. Drop down the East Hill Chasm and start your journey to the next mine.

Be Careful of Marbled Gohma

Another Marbled Gohma can be found roaming near where you land (if you already fought it in Yunobo of Goron City). You can ignore this or start a rematch for another Huge Crystallized Charge.

Activate Takaruk Lightroot (Coordinates: 2360, -0510, -0589) and start following the Zora Statues starting from the one next to the lightroot.

Head to the Abandoned Hebra Mine

Grab the Huge Crystallized Charge from the chest and receive the Bolt Boat Schema Stone from the Steward Construct before you leave.

Fast travel to Gatakis Shrine in Rito Village for the chasm.

Find Rito Village Chasm

Walk southeast from the shrine and drop down the cliff. A man by a campfire should be on the ledge below. Talk to him and he will point you the chasm, which is right beneath your position.

Enter through the opening and dive down the Rito Village Chasm.

How to Get to the Hebra Mountain Depths

The entrance to the Hebra Chasm that leads to the Hebra Mountain Depths is just a short walk east from Gatakis Shrine in Rito Village. Look down upon reaching the cliff and you will spot a man next to a campfire.

You can talk to him and he will point out that the Hebra Chasm entrance is just below your position, through a hole on the cliff. Glide down and enter through the opening to find the chasm.

Activate Sikatag Lightroot

You'll immediately arrive at the Abandoned Hebra Mine. Neat!

From the chasm, glide west first and activate Sikatag Lightroot to light up the area.

How to Beat Master Kohga

First Encounter: Bulldozer

Hit Master Kohga With Arrows Melee Master Kohga When He's Stunned Stay at the Bulldozer's Sides

Hit Master Kohga With Arrows

Master Kohga can be hit with arrows, even from the front of the bulldozer. Quickly hit him with an arrow to knock him off and stun him for a while.

Melee Master Kohga When He's Stunned

After hitting Master Kohga with an arrow, run up to him and whack at him with melee attacks until he gets back up. Repeat this process until you defeat Master Kohga.

Stay at the Bulldozer's Sides

Staying by the sides of the bulldozer will keep you from harm, and give you a better view of Master Kohga, especially during the 2nd half of the fight, where he adds a shield to the front.

Second Encounter: Aircraft

Shoot Master Kohga With Arrows Fuse Eyeballs to Make Aiming Easier Melee Master Kohga When He's Stunned Shoot From the Back

Shoot Master Kohga With Arrows

Master Kohga can be hit with arrows. This will knock him off the aircraft, making him vulnerable to melee attacks.

Fuse Eyeballs to Make Aiming Easier

Use Eyeballs like Keese Eyeballs and Aerocuda Eyeballs on your arrows to turn them into homing arrows. This makes aiming at Master Kohga much easier.

Melee Master Kohga When He's Stunned

After hitting Master Kohga with an arrow, run up to him and whack at him with melee attacks until he gets back up. Repeat this process until you defeat Master Kohga.

Shoot From the Back

Shooting from behind the aircraft gives you a better view of Master Kohga, especially during the 2nd half of the fight, where he adds a shield to the front of the aircraft.

Third Encounter: Boat

Get On a Boat Fire Yunobo at Enemies Get On Master Kohga's Boat and Attack Him Use Recall on Explosive Rock

Get On a Boat

There will be a boat nearby, on the docks. Jump on this boat and use it to get close to Master Kohga.

Fire Yunobo at Enemies

While on your boat, you can fire Yunobo at enemies on Master Kohga's boat to lessen their ranks and make it easier for you to focus on him.

Get On Master Kohga's Boat and Attack Him

Drive close to Master Kohga's boat, then hit him with an arrow, then, run up to him and whack at him with melee attacks until he gets back up. Repeat this process until you defeat Master Kohga.

Use Recall on Explosive Rock

During the second half of the fight, Master Kohga will put up a shield barrier. He removes this shield when he attempts to throw an explosive rock at you. Use Recall to send the rock right back at him, stunning him, and making him free for an attack.

Final Encounter: Robot

Shoot Master Kohga to Knock Him off the Robot Melee Master Kohga When He's in the Ground Hit Robot With Lightning to Stun It Use Recall on Giant Bombs

Master Kohga can be hit with arrows. This will knock him off the robot, making him vulnerable to melee attacks.

Melee Master Kohga When He's in the Ground

After hitting Master Mohga with an arrow, he will fall to the ground. Run up to him and get several hit in before he gets back up. Repeat this process until he is defeated.

Hit Robot With Lightning to Stun It

Lightning attacks, like arrows fused to a Shock Fruit, will electrify Master Kohga's robot, immobilizing it for a while, and making it easier for you to aim at him with arrows.

Use Recall on Giant Bombs

During the second half of the fight, Master Kohga will put up a shield barrier and throw giant spiky bombs at you. Use Recall to send the bombs right back at him, stunning him, and making him free for an attack.
