Sidon is the prince of the Zora's Domain, as well as the younger brother of Princess Mipha, the late Champion of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. He is generally friendly, courageous and outgoing, contrasting his late sister who is usually introverted.
The Zoras are a race of amphibious people who can breathe both underwater and at land.
He is well beloved by his people, the Zoras, similar to his sister, as he treats everybody with respect. His outgoing and easy to approach personality has earned him a lot of admirers, usually female that treats him like a local heart-throb.
Prince Sidon has a massive respect to his older sister, Princess Mipha, always honoring her memory every time he gets a chance. Mipha's words of encouragement to young Sidon when she was alive has shaped him to become the reliable prince that he is in the present day.
During Link's adventure throughout Hyrule in Breath of the Wild, he comes across many Zoras that tells him to meet Prince Sidon at Inigo Bridge. Link then goes to Inigo Bridge to talk to Prince Sidon who asks for the Hylian's help on solving the crisis occuring within his home.
Link being the hero that he is, agrees with the request and goes on a turbulent journey towards the amphibous prince's home: Zora's Domain.
While Link's on his way to Zora's Domain, venturing the path while it is constantly raining and battling strong monsters, Prince Sidon appears from time to time to encourage the young hero to move forward and continue with his quest.
This showcase of goodwill and support even if he is only a stranger to Link during this time already proves that he will be one of Link's trusted comrades.
Link's arrival to the home of the Zoras has been met by friendly welcomes, as well as hostilities from some of the elder Zoras. Prince Sidon introduces Link to King Dorephan, which the latter recognizes to be the same person that was assisted by his daughter, Mipha, to try to stop the Calamity 100 years ago. This revelation shocks the young prince, eventually remembering that he heard the young hero's name before from his late sister.
The young prince then talks about the problem at hand - the nonstop rain, which is caused by the corrupted Divine Beast Vah Ruta. Prince Sidon then asks Link for his help to reclaim the Divine Beast, which the Hylian adventurer readily accepts.
Prince Sidon does everything that he can to assist Link like convincing the king's aid, Muzu, to give the young hero an advice regarding how to deal with the domain's Divine Beast problem.
Prince Sidon and Link meet at East Reservoir Lake to finally neutralize the Divine Beast. He assists Link by taking the young hero to a waterfall produced by the Divine Beast, so that Link may swim up and attack Vah Ruta.
After the crisis, Prince Sidon is grateful for Link's heroic efforts, earning Link a loyal friend in the form of the optimistic prince.
