How to Parry with Perfect Guard

Press A While Holding Your Shield When Enemy Attacks

Method Hold ZL to raise your shield → Press A right before the enemy lands its attack on you.

Triggering Perfect Guard is the best way to parry enemy attacks. This is also one of the best ways to stagger enemies as it gives you an opening to hit back enemies while they are vulnerable. This also the best way to counter shielded enemies.

Maintains Shield Durability

Shield Durability does not decrease on every successful Perfect Guard. This is the best way to preserve shields, especially when using them for combats.
