Use your arrows and fuse them with Fire Fruits or Red Chuchu Jelly and Shock Fruits or Yellow Chuchu Jelly to inflict elemental damage on Queen Gibdo. This turns her white and makes her vulnerable to physical attacks.
Riju's lightning ability makes it easy to make Queen Gibdo vulnerable. Simply hit Queen Gibdo with your bow while she is in the range of Riju's ability.
Riju Profile and Backstory
When Queen Gibdo turns white, run up to her and hit her with melee attacks to deal higher amounts of damage.
If you have access to Sidon's Vow or Yunobo's Vow, you can use their abilities to deal damage to the Queen Gibdo.
Queen Gibdo summons tornadoes when she turns white. Simply move to the side to evade them.

Continue using Riju's lightning to make Queen Gibdo vulnerable to melee attacks. Fire Fruits, Red Chuchu Jelly, Shock Fruits, and Yellow Chuchu Jelly work as well.
While Queen Gibdo is white and vulnerable, hit her as much as you can with melee attacks to bring her health down dramatically.
If you have access to Sidon's Vow or Yunobo's Vow, you can use their abilities to deal damage to the Queen Gibdo.
Hitting Queen Gibdo enough times with melee attacks while she's vulnerable will stun her and make her drop to the floor. This is the best time to wail on her with as much melee damage as you can muster.
In the second half of the fight, Queen Gibdo will summon Gibdo Hives. Destroy all of these Hives using Riju's lightning to reveal a pillar of light that renders regular Gibdo mobs vulnerable and immobile, making the rest of the boss fight easier.
Destroying the Gibdo Nests won't reveal a pillar of light for your advantage, as the rematch with the Queen Gibdo takes place in the Depths. Continue using Riju's Lightning Ability to make the Queen Gibdo vulnerable to attacks.
The boss fight requires you to use a bow and arrow to hit the boss at certain phases of the fight and to destroy the Gibdo hives. Make sure to gather as many arrows as possible from large wooden crates or buy them from merchants such as Beedle.

Fusing an arrow with any of the materials listed above will give it an elemental damage that corresponds to the material. This allows you to hit Queen Gibdo and put her in a weakened state, which has the same effect when you use Riju's lightinng ability.
These materials come handy especially if Riju's ability still needs to recharge and you need to hit the boss quickly.
Queen Gibdo Scourge of the Lightning Temple The ruler of the Gibdos and the culprit behind the sand shroud that plagued the Gerudo region, the Queen Gibdo is an agile beast who built a nest in the desert to spawn her drones en masse. Her tough exoskeleton deflects ordinary weapons. |
