The next edition of Tryout Duels in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has been announced for October 28th, 2025. In this version, players will be only using the cards that were available during the launch of Master Duel, alongside its Forbidden/Limited List. Check out the rules of the mini-event, as well as details for the event reward here!

Tryout Duel Event Details
In this version of Tryout Duels, players will only be allowed to use cards that were part of the starting card pool when Master Duel first launched back in January 2022.
This means all cards that were added afterwards are seemingly not allowed to be used in Decks in this format! All cards that were added to the game afterwards, which began with the release of the Ruler's Mask Selection Pack, will be unusable for the event.

It has been nearly 4 years since the release of Master Duel, and the meta today is vastly different compared to what it was at the launch of the game.

As with most of the previous Tryout Duels, Loaner Decks should be available for players who want to try out the special format!
For this version, the Decks featured are some of the best Decks when Master Duel first launched in late January 2022!

Free Card Pack from Most Recent Release
Much like previous versions of Tryout Events, the main prize given out during this event is a free Card Pack featuring the most recently released Pack during their run.
For this event, the featured Card Pack will most likely be the Beat the Boss Rush Selection Pack, which comes out the same time as the end of maintenance.
