Do Quests in Sebastian's Relationship Questline
You unlock all 3 Unforgivable Curses in Sebastian's Relationship questline. Side quests in Sebastian's questline are titled with "In the Shadow of."
It's possible not to learn the curses during the quests
During In the Shadow of the Study and In the Shadow of Time, you're merely presented with the dialogue option to learn Crucio and Imperio, respectively. Learning the spells is not necessary to complete the quest, so it's entirely optional.
Dialogue Choices and Consequences
You can learn the curses any time after completing the quest
If you chose not to learn the Unforgivable Curses during their respective quests, you can learn them from Sebastian by talking to him at the Undercroft at any time after completing the quests. However, this option will no longer be available if you choose to turn Sebastian in during In the Shadow of Fate.

How to Use Unforgivable Curses
Used to Inflict Harm or Death
The Unforgivable Spells consist of 3 curses: Imperio, Crucio, and Avada Kedavra. These spells are usually associated with the Dark Arts and are notorious for the effects on their target. While the use of these spells are generally frowned upon, players will be able to use them once they learn these spells.
Can You Torture and Kill in Hogwarts Legacy?
Can Be Used Immediately in the Dark Arts Battle Arena
While these spells are available to all players, those that purchase the Deluxe and Collector's Edition of the game will have access to the Dark Arts Battle Arena where they can freely practice using these Unforgivable Spells in combat.
