Cyberpunk 2077's secret ending allows you to storm Arasaka Tower as a legendary solo. Read on to find out how to get the Don't Fear the Reaper ending, including the missions you need to complete, and the choices you need to make to get the secret ending!

To unlock the the secret ending, you need to unlock the Don't Fear The Reaper quest. To do it, follow the steps below!
In order to trigger the side job that unlocks the Don't Fear the Reaper secret ending, you will first need to complete the main story mission called Tapeworm. This mission includes the Transmission, Life During Wartime, and Search and Destroy main missions.
Once Tapeworm concludes, you will unlock the side job called Chippin' In in Act 3. Infiltrate the Ebunike with Rogue and confront Grayson to get to the important part of the mission.
After you reach the oilfields where Johnny's body was supposedly dumped, speak to the deceased rockerboy and choose the following dialogue options to get the secret ending option later on:
Regardless of your approval rating with Johnny, picking these dialogue options will allow you to get the option to storm Arasaka tower by yourself during the game's point of no return.
You do not actually need to complete Blistering Love or Queen of the Highway to get the secret ending. The only condition you need to meet in order to get the option for Don't Fear the Reaper is to choose the correct dialogue choices during Chippin' In.
You do not actually need a 70% or higher approval rating with Johnny in order to get the secret ending. The only choices that matter when it comes to unlocking the secret ending option are your dialogue choices with Johnny during Chippin 'In.
Once you reach the rooftop of Misty's Esoterica during the base game's point of no return, wait for 5 minutes when presented with ending options. Once the 5 minutes are up, Johnny will suggest a different way of assaulting Arasaka Tower. Choose the following dialogue options to assault Arasaka Tower by yourself.
No, you do not need to pick one of the ending options in order to trigger the secret ending. Once you're presented with your options by Johnny, wait for 5 minutes without picking anything and he should then present you with the option to go in solo.
Getting through Arasaka Tower in the Secret Ending is one of the toughest challenges in the game. If you die during the raid, the credits will roll and you'll have to go back to a previous file for another attempt.
To get through this gauntlet, you'll need to make your way through Arasaka Tower's main entrance, find an elevator, and then reach Mikoshi via the Netrunners Operations area.
It can be a good idea to practice with the Rogue Ending first to get familiar with the layout, as you'll pass through these same locations in this ending as well.
Don't Fear the Reaper Walkthrough
Once you reach Mikoshi, you can choose to join Alt or have Johnny go with her. Joining Alt across the Blackwall will unlock the Temperance ending where Johnny takes over your body.
If you let Johnny go with Alt, the scene will cut to a modified Sun ending. Since you didn't assault the tower with Rogue, she will be alive when you enter the Afterlife.
While not exactly a secret ending, completing the Phantom Liberty DLC and getting either the King of Swords or King of Pentacles endings will unlock a new ending called The Tower for the base game.
However, unlike Don't Fear the Reaper, this option will appear as one of your ending options while on the roof of Misty's Esoterica during Nocturne OP55N1. Instead of picking the other options, choose to Call Reed to get the Tower ending.
Unfortunately, despite the release of Patch 2.0 and the Phantom Liberty DLC, the game still does not have a true new game plus mode. Once you complete the secret ending, you will simply be taken back to before the point of no return.
