The next edition of Tryout Duels in Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel has been announced for June 24, 2024, and this time it is another Time Travel format. In this version, players will be adapting to a certain format from the OCG in 2010!
Tryout Duels Event Information
Foir this run of the Tryout Duels, the game will be adopting a specific format from the OCG twenty years ago, when the physical card game was just starting out.

Tryout Duel: Format Changes
Specific Date of OCG Format
This is much like the previous Time Travel formats of the Tryout Duels, where players were able to experience a format that was from the past, like a previous version adopting rules from 2004.
This time, players will be adopting a format where only cards that were released up to November 13, 2010 are legal for this event!
On top of that, in this format the player going first in the Duel will draw a card like it did before the addition of Master Rule 3 for both TCG and OCG in 2014!
Massive Banlist in Master Duel
The event's rules states that cards released up until November 13, 2010 in the OCG Format are the only viable cards in this event. This marks the release of the Storm of Ragnarok Card Pack released in the OCG on that same day. The same card pack was released in the TCG later on February 8, 2011.
This would mean that every single card released after that date will be marked as Forbidden.
OCG Format Banlist
With the event switching back to 2010, that should also mean that the Forbidden & Limited List will be somewhat similar to that time. It will most likely adopt the September 2010 OCG Banlist, which was just before the format's reference date.

Loaner Decks Available for This Event
Three Loaner Decks are available for use for players who want to try out the 2010 format! Each Deck has their own specific strategy, testing out some of the most prominent archetypes of that era of Yu-Gi-Oh!

Free Card Pack from Most Recent Selection Pack
Much like previous versions of Tryout Events, the main prize given out during this event is a free Card Pack featuring the most recently released Selection Pack during their run.
In this case, it's most likely that players will receive a free Card Pack from the Lord of Dimensions Selection Pack.
