How to Get Money (Eddies) Fast |

Use the Duplicate Items Glitch (Works in 2.0) |
There's currently a glitch in Update 2.0 that allows you to duplicate items. By using this glitch, you can repeatedly duplicate your most expensive item and sell the duplicates to vendors to get Eddies.
Note: This glitch requires you to cap your maximum FPS, so it might be a bit harder to perform on consoles like the PS5 and Xbox Series X.
# | How to Do the Duplication Glitch |
---|---|
1 |
Open the Video Tab in the Settings Menu. Open your Settings in the pause menu, then open the Video tab. |
2a |
For PC, lower your FPS Value. If you're using a PC, the step that you need to do is lowering your FPS value. Setting it to a value of 20 or so should work. |
2b |
For Console, change your Graphics Mode to Ray Tracing. For consoles where the FPS option isn't available, you'll have to change your Graphics Mode to Ray Tracing in the Video tab. You might also have to turn on all the settings in the Graphics tab. |
3 |
Drop the item you want to dupe from your Inventory. Open your Inventory, then open your Backpack. Find the item that you want to dupe, likely the most expensive item you can sell, and press the Drop button. |
4 |
Press the Take and Pause button at the same time. Look at the item that you dropped, then press the Take button and Pause button almost simultaneously. You'll have performed this step successfully if you hear the take sound effect while the menu is open. If you didn't hear the sound effect, redo this step (or the previous step if you took the item). |
5 |
Save, then load that save. Save or quicksave after taking the item. Load that save file after. |
6 |
Check if you successfully duped the item. If you're successful, the item should be both in the ground and in your inventory. If you failed, repeat the process from Step 3. |
7 |
Sell the items that you duped. Repeat the dupe process until you're satisfied. Then, go to locations where you can sell items such as Drop Points and vendors, and sell the items that you duped to get the money. |
Winning Car Races will reward you with 10000 eddies. Not a bad amount of money, you just have to beat other racers to get it! To unlock Car Races, complete the The Beast in Me side gig and wait for 3 days for a guy named Jim Jarry to message you.
How to Unlock Car Races and Rewards
If you're looking to normally earn money in the game, the best way is to finish Jobs (quests). Taking up the jobs you are given is going to be a staple source of Eddies in the game.
Not only are you going to experience well written stories and characters, but you will also get paid to play through them!

All Main Jobs | All Side Jobs |
Certain missions have a much bigger payout compared to most side jobs or gigs. Here are some of the missions that give you the highest payout. Be warned however that certain jobs in this list are difficult to accomplish so you may want to hold off doing them until you are at a higher enough level.
Job Name | Rewards | Rec. Level |
---|---|---|
Beat on the Brat: Pacifica | 32,000/64,000 Eddies | 40 |
Psycho Killer | 33,270 Eddies (17 Total Missions) | 10-25 |
Rebel! Rebel! | 13,900 Eddies | Any |
Hot Merchandise | 11,600 Eddies | 35 |
I Fought The Law | 11,580 Eddies | 25 |
Guinea Pigs | 10,900 Eddies | 35 |
Going Up or Down? | 10,900 Eddies | 20 |
The Union Strikes Back | 9,280 Eddies | 25 |
Going-Away Party | 9,050 Eddies | 25 |
Dream On | 8,960 Eddies | 20 |
Completing the open-world side content is going to reward you with Eddies, especially those that are from the NCPD. These activities will usually have you fight a group of enemies to fulfill just a single objective which makes these quite easy to complete. Each objective usually involves a good amount of eddies which makes this an easy money grab.
To find these jobs, you can check your map and hover over the blue markers to check its objectives.
Cyberpunk features a huge amount of items, and you'll find a lot of lootable items by exploring around and defeating enemies. Instead of letting these loot sit all day in your backpack, sell the ones that you don't need for eddies!
Note that Update 2.0 featured a few changes in the loot system. Loot now scales to your level, so it's a good idea to focus on leveling up to get higher tier items, which are more expensive.
One of the easiest ways to organize your unwanted stuff is to determine the kind of build you are going for early. Certain builds do not need a particular weapon type - which makes those weapons useless. Then, all you need to do is sell all those weapons you are not gonna use anyway. Legendary weapons do sell for quite a bit of eddies.
Money is stored in many locations around Night City, and some of these are stored in machines with access points. Finding access points and jacking into them will allow you to hack and Datamine them to transfer some Eddies to you.
When hacking, you can try and input longer strings for greater Eddies, rewarding your risky decision.

Buying back the artwork (sold at $4000) is no longer $5. It's now over $9000 so the infinite cash no longer works.
