Revamped Police and Heat System

The Update 2.0 introduced several changes to the police system in Cyberpunk 2077. The first noticeable change is the spawn rates of the police. Policemen will now regularly spawn along with pedestrian NPCs, allowing them to respond to reports quick and even catch you immediately if you're not being careful.

In addition, the Heat System of the game has also been revamped. The game now uses a five star system that raises depending on how much trouble you're causing. Of course, for each star level you acquire, the police force will become much harder if you fail to hide from them.

New MaxTac Mini Boss at Max Heat

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty - Max Tac Mini Boss

Attaining 5 Stars in the reworked Heat system will now summon a mini boss in the form of a deadly squad of MaxTac. These powerful units can easily take you down if you're unprepared, so make sure you know what you're doing before deciding to wreak havoc in Night City.

Cyberpsychos will not be tolerated in Night City. If you start going on a rampage, prepare to be eliminated with extreme prejudice once this special NPCD force takes the field.

MaxTac deploys a squad containing a heavy gunner, marksman, and even a close combat specialist, to deal with your chromed V. Make sure to be fully prepared when you encounter these elite forces, as they can prove to be quite challenging once deployed.

Enemy Netrunner Changes

Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty - Enemy Netrunner

Enemy Netrunners are now much more difficult to face during combat with the new update. With the 2.0 update, netrunners can hack you even without line-of-sight. As long as their allies or cameras can detect you, netrunners will always attempt to hack you if you're not careful.
