How to Unlock Killing in The Name

Multiple times during the course of the game, you will be receiving seemingly random messages from Bartmoss Collective. It will continue to do so until you receive an email accessible via your computer in your apartment.

Once the email is read, the mission will update. But, for it to progress, you need to accomplish the following missions:

• Chippin' In
• Blistering Love
• Holdin' On
• Second Conflict
• A Like Supreme

Once these missions are complete, the rest of the mission will unlock after a call to Nancy Bartley.

If you fail any of the aforementioned missions or make choices that will not unlock the next quest in the mission chain, this mission will not progress as well.

Killing in The Name Quest Objectives

V's Apartment, Megabuilding H10

	Objectives
1	Investigate the site from the Bartmoss Collective message. Head to your apartment and access your computer. Read the Bartmoss Collective site under the Net tab.
2	Call Bes Isis about Swedenborg.→Complete other jobs until Bes Isis, aka Nancy, is available to call.
3	Call Nancy (Bes Isis) and ask about Swedenborg. Once all necessary side quests are done, this mission will progress, allowing you to call Nancy. She will then give you coordinates as to where the signal is coming from.

Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo

1	Go to Nancy's coordinates.→Scan the area for clues. Head to the Almunecar & Jerez fast travel point and head towards the mission marker. Head to the service ladder and climb it until the top. Once there, you will see another part of the service platform you can jump to.
2	Hack the router.→Read the message you received.→Talk to Johnny. Look at the router there and hack it to receive eddies and some information to read. Then, talk to Johnny. Head to the next destination using fast travel points.

The Badlands

Go to the signal's source.→Scan the area for clues.→Hack the router.→Read the message you received.→Talk to Johnny. Head to the Fuel Station or Autowerks fast travel point in the Badlands. Then go to the marked area. Defeat the enemies in the area and then head to the truck in the middle of the camp. Hack the router there and read the message. Head to the next destination using fast travel points..

Go to the signal's source.→Scan the area for clues.→Hack the router.→Read the message you received.→Talk to Johnny. Head to the Fuel Station fast travel point and head to the next area. To your left are a bunch of ladders you need to climb. Head to the topmost area and hack the router. Read the message and head to the next destination using fast travel points.

West Wind Estate, Pacifica

Go to the signal's source.→Search the area.→Approach the fortuneteller bot.→Listen to the fortuneteller bot.→Talk to Johnny. Head to the West Wind Apartments fast travel point in Pacifica. From there, go to the marked area and look for an ad board featuring a fortuneteller. This will be near some dancing people. Approach and listen to it and talk to Johnny.

Scan the fortuneteller bot to see if it's been manipulated.→Hack the router.→Read the message you received.→Talk to Johnny. Scan the bot to know if it's been tampered with. Hack the router at the side of the fortune teller to receive eddies and another message. Talk to Johnny to be forced to choose between three choices: Pay to hear your fortune, Disconnect it from the Net or Tell Johnny You'll leave the fortuneteller bot alone.

Decisions

Pay to hear your fortune

	Objectives
1	Pay to your hear your fortune.→Connect to the fortuneteller bot to modify the algorithm.→Call Nancy. You can choose to hack and modify the systems of the fortuneteller bot. While this won't affect the outcome, this will please Johnny the most as he will find the new fortuneteller messages amusing.

Tell Johnny you'll leave the fortuneteller bot alone.

	Objectives
1	Tell Johnny you'll leave the fortuneteller bot alone. Call Nancy. Just tak to Johnny and tell him you will not modify the fortuneteller. Doing so will make Johnny somewhat happy.

Disconnect it from the Net.

	Objectives
1	Disconnect the bot from the Net. You can also disconnect it from the net and stop it from fooling more people. This will slightly displease Johnny.

Killing In The Name Choices and Best Choice

Call To Nancy

This choice of reply when you call Nancy at the end of the mission will affect what reward you will be receiving.

Best Choice

Not exactly... is the best choice for it rewards you with eddies as well as experience points.

Tips and Strategy

Use Fast Travel Points

Since this side quest takes place in three different districts, it will be useful to find travel points closest to the objective markers. Using vehicles or running will just take too much of your time.

Sandstorm in the Badlands

In the Badlands area where you locate the 2nd router, there's a chance that you will enter that area during a sandstorm. Visibility will be low making fighting there a little more difficult than usual. You can choose to wait this out if you are uncomfortable fighting in such conditions. It disappears fairly quickly.
