The tattoo is a reward to unlock the smart guns for the players without forcing them to buy the rare smart link. If a player plans to rely on smart armory because scrappy is his favorite so he needs later the normal smart links...because the tattoo only enable smart capability but doesn't provides a further bonus. Also there is a flaw integrated in the tattoo, it works bad against tyger claw's! Reason should be obviously since the tattoo is tyger claw related.
The tattoo also jams enemy smart weapons so their projectiles cannot target you
Is there any difference from the smart link? The description is the same but I am hesitant to believe they'de give me a 7.5k cyber at the start of the game for no effort, making the smart link pointless. Is the link better in some way?
