March 2025 Duelist Cup Rules and Qualifications

Round 1 Rules

The Duelist Cup is Master Duel's premiere PvP event, with the focus of primarily Dueling against other Duelists at their absolute best.

This event is mostly for primarily for competitive players, who wants to see how good they are against other seasoned players around the world with their best and strongest Decks.

Players will most likely have a unique Ranking called DLv., which serves as their eligibility for the tournament proper.

Players DLvs are determined by their placement in Ranked Duels before joining the event--to be specific, the final placement being based from the ranking in Season 38 - February 2025.

Silver	DLv. 3
Gold	DLv. 5
Platinum	DLv. 7
Diamond	DLv. 10
Master	DLv. 12

Players who are under DLv. 4 will keep increasing in their DLv., regardless if they win or lose. Only surrendering will cause players in these DLv. to not increase their chances of going to a higher tier.

Round 2 Rules

Players have to hit DLv. Max in order to qualify for the 2nd Round, set on March 21, 2024 at 1:00 PM JST.

From here on in, players wil be given Duelist Points to be ranked indivually against all players who made it to this round around the world.

There are placements for server regions and internationally, meaning you can check how much points do you need to stay in the lead!

Duelist Cup Missions

Players can only fulfill tthe conditions of these missions by participating in Duels in the Duelist Cup.

Rewards Earned Retroactively

Much like the previous Duelist Cups, players who are active in Ranked will be placed ahead of the others, and will be given a DLv. depending on where they place the most recent Season of Ranked Duels. For this round of the Duelist Cup, it will use your ranking based on Season 38.

For unranked players who will be playing in the Duelist Cup, they will begin as DLv. 1.

The first time players with advanced placement Duel in the Duelist Cup event, they will automatically be given the rewards from lower DLvs.

Final Ranking Rewards

Once the event is over and the final standings are tallied, players who managed to move to the 2nd Stage of the Duelist Cup will receive the appropriate rewards.

Season Rankings for World Championship

Since the 2024 competitive season, Season Points are now up for grabs for participants of the 2nd Round!

As the 1st place Duelist immediately books their ticket to the World Championship as a represenative, the 2nd placers and below will be earning Season Points that will accumulate until the next World Championship Qualifiers in 2025.

Players with the most Season points until then will be qualified for the World Championship next year!
