Talk to Anche inside the Northern Icehouse and this will trigger the quest to start.

Anche will be needing ice and she needs your help in making one!

Make Some Ice!

Throw a White Chuchu Jelly or an Ice Fruit in the water to make some ice!

You can also use your ice-infused weapons to make ice in the water.

Put the Ice near the Alcove

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Put the Ice near the Alcove

Use your Ultrahand to put the ice near the alcove. Anche needs the ice to fit the alcove.

Get the Torch Outside the Icehouse

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Get the Torch and Light It Up

There is a torch beside the campfire outside the Icehouse. Light up the torch and return to the ice block.

Melt the Ice To Its Perfect Size

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Melt the Ice to Make it Smaller

Put the lit up torch near the ice to melt it, making it smaller. Be careful as you might melt it all the way!

Fit the Ice in the Alcove

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Perfect Fit Ice

You need to melt the ice at just the right size, so that it won't be too small in the alcove, and still too big to not fit it.

Return to Anche

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - The Iceless Icehouse Reward

Once you're satisfied with the size, return to Anche. She will tell you if its too small or it's just right! She will reward you with a Purple Rupee.

You can come back and help her every day, and she will give rewards after helping her!
