Fierce Deity Set Vs. Barbarian Set

Same Effects and Defense Bonus

The Fierce Deity and Barbarian Sets are comparable armor sets. When it comes to the Attack Up effect, the set bonus, and the defense offered per upgrade, both of these armor sets are the same.

How to Get the Barbarian Set

Set Bonus is Great For Two-Handed Weapons

Charge Attack with Boulder Breaker

As long as each piece has been upgraded at least twice, wearing either the Fierce Deity or Barbarian Set unlocks the set bonus Charge Attack Stamina Up. This allows you to consume less stamina when holding down the Y button for Charge Attacks.

This bonus is best used with two-handed weapons, so that you can swing your weapon around for a longer period of time.

Difference in Upgrade Materials

Zelda TotK - Great Fairy Fountain

Whichever set you prefer depends on personal taste and the upgrade materials you have an easier time obtaining. Fierce Deity Set upgrade materials include all Dragon parts, Hinox parts, and a few Lynel Guts.

In comparison, the Barbarian Set may be easier to upgrade initially. It only requires Mighty Thistles for the first upgrade. However, further upgrades will require Lynel, Blue-Maned Lynel, and White-Maned Lynel parts.

seems overall way easier to upgrade than barbarian set, except final step maybe. But let's be real no matter the cost it comes down to what looks the best to you
