Camera Work in the Depths Walkthrough Guide |

Head to the Hyrule Field Chasm entrance south of Lookout Landing. Find the large hole on the ground with gloom all over then drop down to the bottom until you find a camp. Careful not to touch the gloom or it will continuously drain your health!
Continue walking south (there are Deep Fireflies here you can catch) until you reach the Nisoij Lightroot. Examine the glowing sign beneath it to activate its travel point and light up the surrounding area, like what Skyview Towers do!
All 120 Lightroot Locations and Maps
Turn west to find notes left by Robbie about which direction he went. Ahead of this direction is another Lightroot where Robbie said he'll go.
The glow from the previous Lightroot doesn't reach the path towards the next, so start planting Brightbloom Seedsalong the way by attaching Brightbloom Seeds on your arrows!
Activate Iayusus Lightroot once you reach it and... look who's here (turn your head southwest)! It's Robbie!
Talk to Robbie to have the Hyrule Compendium and the Camera unlocked on your Purah Pad (no 0.5 selfies, though).
Camera Guide: How to Take Pictures
Open your camera by pressing the L button and take a picture of the statue. A label with an exclamation point should appear to indicate that you are clear to take a snap.
Return to Lookout Landing and show the picture to Josha to complete the quest. One last quest for our detour!
Touching the dark red substance around the chasm entrance and within the Depths affects you with Gloom—a debuff that will temporarily decrease your max hearts.
The gloom will eventually disappear and you will slowly get your hearts back when you return to the surface or when you remove them on Lightroots.
Additionally, dishes made with Sundelion as an ingredient instantly removes the status!
Now that you have the Camera unlocked, you can start taking pictures of equipment, materials, and creatures to register them in the Hyrule Compendium! The Compendium will show more info about anything you have registered and can even help you track them for farming.
Pointing your camera at an unregistered item or creature will display an orange outline and text so you know if you still need them on the Compendium.
