FOUND A SOLUTION! I was having the same bug issue; I got to my last butterfly location (I had 139/140 conjurations) and the chest would physically open but I wouldn't get a conjuration from it. After opening the chest, go to the vivarium in the room of requirement and look for a chest that you have already opened before. For me, a chest in the swamp that I had previously opened was now closed and I could open it again to receive the last conjuration! I don't think it is specific to the swamp tho
Same. Haven’t been able to get anything from last chest. It opens and I get nothing from it. 139/140
How can I fix this I've done all the quests and everything and opened up the very last butterfly chest and got nothing from it so how do I get my platinum?
Yea. I tried quitting the game, re-booting it and the same thing happened. I even deleted the game and re-installed it to see if it would help. I’m not sure why it’s still not triggering.
Didn't you try quit the game immediately when the chest didn't give you anything, and hit continue and try to loot it again? Or if you happen to have a cloud save, try to loot it again? I got the last conjuration from the chest without problems (139/140) that I missed because of the bug
i went to the floo flame and followed the butter flies that spawned (I was surprised) but unfortunately, when I went to open the chest, I didn’t collect anything. It was empty. Possibly another bug.

If you had a bug like me for the collector’s edition trophy (602/603), patch 1.05 fixed it. just go to the floo flame forbidden forest and the butterflies are there again and they will lead you to the last chest (tested on 2 characters and with each I already had all the butterflies collected and after patch 1.05 there were those from the sidequest again)
no, after the patch, there was no indication of any fix for those stuck at 139/140 unfortunately. I’m not sure what to do. It’s gonna be a pain collecting everything again just to get the platinum

So if you’re one of the ones who initially didn’t go back to complete the quest right away, you have to collect everything all over again to get the platinum trophy??
