Talk with Dantz in Hateno Village. He is the father of Koyin and can be found just outside their house.

Gather three acorns to give to Dantz. You can get acorns from cutting down trees.

How to Get Acorns

Hand over the acorns to Dantz. Finish the dialogue with him and he shall reward you with fresh milk. Then, you will be able to unlock a special trading relationship with him.

Trade Acorns for Fresh Milk

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK Get Fresh Milk.png

Upon completing the side quest, Dantz will offer you a special trade with him. Every time you give him three acorns, he shall give you a bottle of fresh milk in return.

You can then trade the fresh milk for some Hateno Cheese once you finish the A Letter to Koyin side adventure.
