Tears of the Kingdom TOTK Cold-Endurance Contest How to Unlock

You can unlock and start the Cold-Endurance Contest Side Quest by talking to Rahdo. You can find him at the peak of Mount Granajh in Gerudo Canyon.

The Cold-Endurance Contest is located on top of Mount Granajh in Gerudo Canyon. You can get there by traveling southeast of Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower.

The exact coordinates for this quest on the map are -1380, -3364, 0469.

Start the endurance contest by paying 50 Rupees. You can prepare first but you can start it right away!

Keep Your Body Warm

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TOTK - Cold-Endurance Contest - Keep Your Body Warm
You can attach a material with fire properties to your weapon or shield, or you can set up a campfire using a wood and a flint to keep your body warm. You can also eat food with Cold Resistance to survive the cold!

These are allowed as long as you don't leave the platform and equip armor!

How to Make a Fire

Wait Until the Contest is Done

Wait until the contest is done, around 4:25 AM in-game time. You should be able to survive as long as you keep your body warm.

Try not to pause so that the in-game time won't stop moving!

Claim Your Prize

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TOTK - Cold-Endurance Contest - Reward
Rahdo will then fall to the ground, acknowledging his defeat. You will be rewarded with a Silver Rupee (100 Rupees) for winning the contest!

The Heat-Endurance Contest Side Quest will become available after that!
