Talk to Dai Inside the Inn in Kakariko Village

Tears of the Kingdom TOTK Out of the Inn How to Unlock

Head inside the Inn in Kakariko Village and talk to Dai. This will trigger the quest to start.

Talk to Dai

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Talk to Dai

Dai is not the owner of the Inn as he was only asked to keep watch of the inn until the owner gets back. Dai worries that the inn owner might not come back and asks you to find him.

Find the Inn Owner

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Find the Inn Owner

The owner can be found sleeping in one of the tents found northeast above the Chief's house with coordinates (1735, -0905, 0199).

You'll find him sleeping on one of the stone slabs.

Drop a Hearty Truffle Near the Owner

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Find the Inn Owner

Whip out your inventory and drop a Hearty Truffle near the inn owner. This will wake the inn owner up and he'll make his way back to the inn.

Return to the Inn

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - Receiving Reward

You'll find the inn owner in his rightful place, and Dai on the side. Speak with Dai and he will give you a Sticky Elixir as a thank you for finding the inn owner. Finishing this quest will allow you to sleep in the inn.

Dai is now relieved of the responsibility that wasn't really his in the first place.
