Talk to Mubs or Garini in the General Shop at Lookout Landing to trigger the quest to start.

How to Complete Village Attacked by Pirates
1. Talk to Garini
2. Talk to Rozel Near Lurelin Village
3. Return to Garini

Talk to Garini

TotK - Talk to Garini, scale:mode

Garini will mention that their village, Lurelin Village, is being infested by monsters! Garini and Mubs are feeling uneasy as they don't know if the villagers are safe.

Zelda TotK - Talk to Rozel

Head to the cliffside near Lurelin Village and look for Rozel who is the head of the village. He will give you the Ruffian-Infested Village side adventure upon talking to him.

Note: You don't have to clear Ruffian-Infested Village to clear this quest. Simply acknowledging that the village head is safe will make Garini assume that the other villagers are safe as well.

Should You Finish Ruffian-Infested Village?

The Ruffian-Infested Village is a relatively challenging side adventure and requires taking out tough enemies at the start.

You can ignore this side adventure for now if you're still early in the game and come back when you have more heart containers and better weapons.

Return to Garini

TotK - Village Attacked by Pirates Reward, scale:mode
Garini will reward you with a Mighty Salt-Grilled Crab once you've returned with news about the state of Lurelin Village and its villagers.

If you already finished the Ruffian-Infested Village, he will have new dialogue but will stay in Lookout Landing for a while to tend their store.
