After visiting the Ventest Clothing, talk to Reede inside their home in Hateno Village. He will tell you about his plan to recreate his grandfather's secret recipe and use it as his trump card against Cece.

Locate the Message in Bottle Create a Makeshift Raft Use the Raft to Get Closer to the Bottle Grab the Bottle Return to Koyin Trade Fresh Milk for Hateno Cheese Give Reede the Hateno Cheese

Locate the Message in Bottle

Inspect the middle of the lake to find the floating message bottle.

Create a Makeshift Raft

Getting the message bottle can be tricky as it is located quite far into the lake. Use the resources around you to find a way to reach the message bottle, like creating a raft.

Use the Raft to Get Closer to the Bottle

Use Ultrahand to lift the raft and position it as close to the message bottle as possible.

Grab the Bottle

Climb onto the raft you positioned and grab the message bottle out of the lake.

Return to Koyin

Go to back to Koyin with the message bottle. After gaining clarity through the message left by her grandfather, she will invite you to visit her house.

Trade Fresh Milk for Hateno Chees

Follow Koyin to her house to complete the A Letter to Koyin side adventure.

Speak to her again to trade Fresh Milk for Hateno Cheese.

Give Reede the Hateno Cheese

Go back to Reede with the Hateno Cheese to complete the side adventure. It is the secret ingredient for his new signature food!
