You can ride Mineru's Construct and control both of its arms to be used in combat. Keep in mind that it will drain your batteries as you move, but will replenish when you're not moving. You can still fire arrows while on the construct, but having to aim and fire your bow while controlling the construct might overwhelm you!
Getting hit while riding the construct will still reduce Link's hearts. This also applies on being hit and affected by Gloom. Be sure to avoid attacks and stockpile on heart-recovering, and heart-restoring dishes still!
How to Get More Energy Cells and Increase Energy
You can attach materials like Zonai Devices to the left arm, right arm, and at the back of Mineru's Contruct, allowing you to have a total of three materials attached.
Attached Zonai devices will expire after a certain amout of usage. Stock up on devices to make sure your Mech Construct constantly obliterates foes that stand in your way!
Attachment | Effect when fused on Arm | Effect when fused on Back |
---|---|---|
Fan | Casts a gust of wind that blows enemies away. | Allows the Construct to sprint forward faster. |
Rocket | Aims and shoots the rocket in a projectile. | Allows the Construct to jump high. |
Iron Spiked Ball | Becomes a bludgeoning weapon that inflicts blunt damage. | Extends it backwards to hit enemies from behind. |
Cannon | Aims and shoots a cannonball from its arm. | Shoots a cannonball backwards. |
Shock Emitter | Holds a thrust forward and shocks enemies. | Inflicts electric damage to enemies attacking from behind. |
Flame Emitter | Shoots a stream of fire forward. | Shoots a stream fire in a straight line backwards. |
Hover Stone | Becomes a bludgeoning weapon and does not activate when hitting enemies. | Grants the ability to walk midair while on a steady downwards trajectory. |
Spring | Becomes a bludgeoning weapon that knocks off enemies far when hit. | Spring will activate backwards and is good in pushing back enemies who try to attack from behind. |
Hydrant | Releases a stream of water. | Releases a stream of water backwards. |
Wing | Becomes a bludgeoning weapon. | Allows the Construct to glide for a short distance. |
Igneo Talus Heart | Gives strong fire elemental melee damage. | Extends it backwards to hit enemies from behind. |
Frost Talus Heart | Gives strong ice elemental melee damage. | Extends it backwards to hit enemies from behind. |
These are all the interactions we found so far, let us know in the comments how other items interact with the Mech Construct. Also, thanks to some of our readers for their contributions in the comments!
Mineru's Construct will automatically approach enemies and attack them with its arms. It will also sometimes open up a big shield that you can take advantage of to board him safely from behind.
You can use the Vow of Mineru, Sage of Spirit to summon or dismiss Mineru's Construct from the Key Items Menu. The construct will accompany you while exploring and aid you in battle when you're not riding it.
The Construct will be summoned by default upon the acquisition of the vow. You can only dismiss it in your inventory using the same process above.
Like other Vows, Mineru's Construct will not show up when you are in settlements. This means that you should first leave any settlement and head into an open world area in order for Mineru's Construct to show up and aid you.
You can exchange 4 Sage's Wills to any goddess statues found across Hyrule to upgrade the Vow of Mineru into the Solemn Vow of Mineru, which increases the sage's attack power.
Upgrading the vows does not increase the durability of the attached materials nor gain any additional effects. This might be a little underwhelming for most, but at least they get stronger in fights!

Fun Fact: If you use a rocket on Mineru's arms, they just fire, as if you were using a one use cannon. Very inefficient unless you plan on blowing up far away stuff.
