Wood are mostly found in the locations: Northwest of the Great Sky Island, Rito Village, Kakariko Village. Look around these locations to farm for Wood.
Stone Axe is the ideal weapon or tool to use when chopping trees. It will help you produce logs, which you can then chop further to make wood.
How to Chop Down and Use Fallen Trees

Rito Village has areas surrounded with trees, making it an ideal place to farm wood.

Kakariko Village also has areas abundant with trees. You can also use this place to farm wood.

Campfire is one of the useful mechanics of the game as it allows you to pass the time and cook food without pot, and you will need wood to build one!
To build your own campfire, simply drop wood and flint on the ground, and then strike the flint with any metal weapon you have in your possession.
