It is possible to find the Black Bokoblin when exploring Gerudo Desert and Hyrule Ridge Depths.
If you have a picture of the Black Bokoblin, you can set it as a target for your Sensor+, through the Compendium, to detect when one is nearby.

Black Bokoblins can be troublesome when fought in groups of other enemies as they deal higher damage and don't die as easily.
Use Ice Fruit or other ice weapons to freeze Black Bokoblins in place and deal with them one by one instead of them ganging up on you all at once.
When fought in groups mixed with stronger enemies, use a Puffshroom to blind the Black Bokoblins and take them out while it's still smoky. Attacking while crouching in the Puffshroom cloud also guarantees a sneakstrike when standing behind enemies.
Black Bokoblins drown when pushed into deep water, so use this strategy to defeat them instantly. We suggest using a Korok Frond Guster or other weapons with the same blowing effect.
 Although Bokoblins are generally a nuisance, the Black Bokoblins are among the most dangerous type. They're extremely resilient and powerful, especially when it comes to their forceful attacks with their hefty horns. |
