It is possible to find the Fire-Breath Lizalfos when exploring Eldin Canyon and Gerudo Highlands.
If you have a picture of the Fire-Breath Lizalfos, you can set it as a target for your Sensor+, through the Compendium, to detect when one is nearby.

Fire-Breath Lizalfos can be defeated instantly with just one hit of an ice attack. Fuse Ice Fruit or White Chuchu Jelly to your arrows, or use ice weapons against them to end the fight right away.
The Fire-Breath Lizalfos will continuously spew fire from its mouth, so if you want to engage them, wearing at least one armor piece from the Flamebreaker Set or using Fireproof Elixirs is highly advisable.
The Fire variants tend to use melee attacks and will often chase Link around to burn him. Switch to your bow and keep your distance while attacking them in order to avoid taking damage.
Shooting their heads will knock them down and deal critical damage. It would be easier to hit their weak spot by using a bow with a Five-Shot Burst modifier.
 These quick-witted, lizard-like monsters can be found all over Hyrule. Their fiery breath makes them pretty dangerous, but exposure to cold will kill them instantly. The lava-like horn retains extreme heat and burns anything that touches it. They mainly live in volcanic regions. |
