Black Boss Bokoblins are larger than the ordinary bokoblins, and it takes multiple hits to kill them. Using Two-Handed Weapons will push them back on the last swing and interrupt their blows.
Continually hit them to prevent them from landing a hit on you until they are defeated.
List of All Two-Handed Weapons
Black Boss Bokoblins usually fight in groups of other bokoblins. They are harder to defeat and deal more damage when you're hit. Use a Puffshroom to blind the Black Boss Bokoblin and take them out while it's still smoky.
Attacking while crouching in the Puffshroom cloud also guarantees a sneakstrike when standing behind enemies.
Since Black Boss Bokoblins usually fight with a group of other bokoblins, use Muddle Buds on the Boss Bokoblin for it to take out the weaker bokoblins first. This will trim down their numbers and make it easier for you to finish them off.
Black Boss Bokoblins are always found leading packs of other Bokoblins. Contrary to the usual technique of eliminating the weaker enemies first, but Boss Bokoblins tend to take a defensive position when in a group.
Only when they fight alone do Boss Bokoblins go all out in their attacks. Eliminate the Black Boss Bokoblin first in a group and then target the easier enemies afterwards.
Black Boss Bokoblins tend to throw objects like barrels, boxes, and even fellow bokoblins at you during fights. You can use Recall on the objects they throw to send it back to them.
