Tears of the Kingdom TOTK The Broken Slate How to Unlock

During the Sidon of the Zora Main Quest, Sidon asks you to meet with Jiahto to learn more about the sludge falling on the domain. The Broken Slate will start automatically after talking to Jiahto at Toto Lake.

Find the Broken Fragment

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - slate fragment location

Exit the small cave and look at your left with Ultrahand activated. This should highlight something...

Aha! It's the broken fragment of the slate! That was easy.

Rinse the piece by tossing a Splash Fruit at it. You should find some outside the cave as well.

Fix the Slate

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom TotK - inserting the fragment into the broken slate

Bring the fragment into the cave with Ultrahand and place it into the broken slate to complete the quest.

You now have to solve the riddle written in the slate.
