The Zonai Wing is a Zonai Device that you can obtain in the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Learn how to get the Zonai Wing and where to farm it, and how to use it, including all possible fuse effects, and fuse attack power.
List of Contents
You can use the Wing Zonai Device to glide through the sky and explore the skies of Hyrule. This Zonai Device works well on its own, as the wind naturally pushes it forward once it's off the ground.
Part of the Wing | Steering Direction |
---|---|
Left Wing | Turn left |
Right Wing | Turn right |
Head | Dive straight down |
Center | Keep moving forward |
Tail | Gradually soar higher |
Even without a Steering Stick, you can change the direction of where the Wing goes depending on where you stand while gliding.
Stand in the center to balance the Wing and glide straight forward. Lean a little to the left or right wing to steer the Wing to those directions.
The Wing will start blinking green when its nearing its flying limit, and will dissipate mid-air once it's over the limit, so be prepared for when that happens.
If your previous Wing despawns, or you just need a platform midair while gliding to recover stamina, you can bring out a new Zonai Wing and land on it midair.
All you need to do is glide in the air with your paraglider, let go of the left control stick and make sure Link is not moving midair. Then, open up your inventory and take out a Zonai Wing.
Now, hold the control stick forward and press B to quit the menu. This should bring you back to the overworld with the Zonai Wing dropping flat in front of you. Let go of the paraglider and drop on top of the wing to continue your air travel!
Fused With: | Effects (+1 Fuse Attack Power) |
---|---|
Arrows |
Increases range of arrows shot. |
Shields |
Increases height of jumping while shielding, making it possible to shoot arrows in slow motion. |
Wings can be Fused with weapons and shields, and can be attached to arrows. When fused, the Wing increases attack power by 1, and other effects may vary depending on where you fuse them.
Fuse Guide: How to Combine Materials With Weapons, Arrows, and Shields
One can easily fall off the Wing Zonai Device if they are not careful as Link moves faster and harder to control while standing. We suggest crouching while gliding on a Wing device to move slowly but carefully and avoid falling off.
The best way to launch a Wing Zonai Device is through specific locations that include a Launch Point. Here you can place the Wing on a tilted platform with guide rails to give the Wing momentum to launch off.
Once the Wing starts moving, hop on before it gets off the platform.
If you need to add more momentum to the Wing, you can use Ultrahand to attach a fan at its back, or a cart below it. The fan and cart will help add momentum and push the Wing off almost any surface.
This is especially useful when you want to use the Wing at a location with no Launch Point. You can also use an extra battery to make the fan last longer.
How to Build Vehicles and Vehicle Ideas
If you're tired of having to carefully move around to steer the Wing, you can attach a steering stick on top of the device to make steering easier. You also don't have to worry about accidentally falling off the Wing.

You can obtain the Zonai Wing by placing Zonai Charges or Construct Horns into Zonai Device Dispensers that have this device. The amount and type of Zonai Device dispensed is random, so be sure to prepare enough materials to farm for Zonai Wings.
Once you've maxed out all of your Energy Cells, you can start purchasing Zonai Wings from Steward Constructs at Crystal Refineries using Crystallized Charges.
The Steward Construct sells 10 of each Zonai Device and follows the restock mechanics of regular shops.
