After completing the Photographing a Chuchu side quest, Sayge will ask references for new patterns. When speaking to Sayge, choose the options: Rework the paraglider > I have a new reference, and you will receive the pattern depending on the reference you showed.
To see the list of references needed, choose Rework the paraglider > Rework it, and you will see a list of grayed-out fabric patterns. These are the references needed by Sayge to make more patterns for your paraglider!

You can use the Lynel Fabric to change the design of your Paraglider at the Kochi Dye Shop in Hateno Village for 20 Rupees. Talk to Sayge inside the shop and choose "Rework the Paraglider".
