The Water Octorok is an enemy you can encounter in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TotK). Learn where to find the Water Octorok and its locations, as well as the materials and items they drop!

It is possible to find the Water Octorok when exploring Lanayru Great Spring and West Necluda.
If you have a picture of the Water Octorok, you can set it as a target for your Sensor+, through the Compendium, to detect when one is nearby.
How to Unlock the Sensor +

Wait for the Water Octorok to float above the water to fire their rock attack. Once they're above water, prepare your bow and shoot them with an arrow to instantly kill them.
How to Farm Arrows
Throwing a Yellow Chuchu Jelly on the water they're hiding in is highly effective as it will electrocute and kill them.
How to Get Yellow Chuchu Jellies
Cutting the plant on Its head with sharp weapons will force it out of the ground, giving you an opportunity to finish it off with your melee attacks.
Be quick in attacking it as the Octorok will return to the ground after a moment and attach another plant on its head.
 Although they spend most of their time in water, they burst out when they sense someone. The rocks they spit out can be bounced back with a shield. |
