Early Sleep Setup | ||
---|---|---|
If you have Snom, Frosmoth, and Misty in your starting hand, play Snom right away, use Misty to attach Water Energy to Frosmoth on the bench, then use Poke Ball to hopefully get Jigglytuff.
On your second turn, evolve Snom to Frosmoth right away, then use Powder Snow to damage and put your opponent's active Pokemon to sleep.
Shoud you have Jigglytuff instead of Snom as your starting basic Pokemon and Wigglytuff ex as your Stage 1 evolution Pokemon, play Jigglytuff right away, then use Poke Ball to hopefully get Snom.
On your second turn, evolve Jigglytuff to Wigglytuff right away. Finally, on your third turn, use Sleepy Song to damage and put your opponent's active Pokemon to sleep.
If you don't have the Stage 1 evolution Pokemon of your starting basic Pokemon right away, use Professor's Research to hopefully draw the correct Stage 1 evolution Pokemon for your starting basic Pokemon, then use Sabrina to disrupt your opponent's setup if needed to buy you time.

Deck | Commentary |
---|---|
None | Type: None ・The Wigglytuff ex deck isn't particularly good against specific decks due to its low damage and high dependency on coin flips. |
Deck | Commentary |
---|---|
Pikachu ex Decks |
・Pikachu ex can OHKO Snom or Jigglytuff early on before they can evolve since the Pokemon's damage exceeds Snom or Jigglytuff's HP. |
Starmie ex Decks |
・Starmie ex can also OHKO Snom or Jigglytuff early on before they can evolve since the Pokemon's damage exceeds their HP. |
Due to the deck's low damage and high dependency on coin flips, the deck is remarkably inconsistent.
Card | Explanation |
---|---|
Wigglytuff |
・ Non-ex Wigglytuff gives the deck a non-ex option but deals even less damage and doesn't put the opponent's active card to sleep. |
Card | Possible Cuts |
---|---|
Wigglytuff |
・ Exchanging X Speed for a non-ex Wigglytuff gives the deck a non-ex option. |
Giovanni |
・ Exchanging X Speed for Giovanni boosts the deck's damage potential by 10. |

Having Tentacruel makes the deck more effective by adding the Poison Special Condition on top of the Sleep, which doesn't wake up sleeping Pokemon. The Poison also functions as a disruptive move since it forces the opponent to bench its active Pokemon to remove the Poison.
