Marowak ex functions as an early and mid game attacker that can inflict a good amount of damage while setting Kabutopsup on the Bench. Upon switching in, Kabutops can be incredibly difficult to take out if the opponent doesn't do a one-hit KO, making it an effective late game Pokemon.

Marowak ex may have difficulty knocking opponents out if your coin flips are unlucky. You may use Lucario or Red to boost Marowak ex's attack, or equip it with the Rocky Helmet to damage your opponents upon being attacked to bring them closer to KO range.

Because it is quick to set up, Marowak ex can be used as a good early game attacker while your other Pokemon are set up on the Bench. Once your other attackers are set up, or if Marowak ex is having trouble, switch another Pokemon in.

Grass-type Pokemon not only have the type advantage against Marowak ex, but also have access to Erika's healing, which helps them survive longer. You may use Venusaur ex or Beedrill ex, as they can survive a Bonemerang even if it lands on two heads.
Alternatively, you may opt to use Pokemon that can OHKO Marowak ex such as Yanmega ex or Meowscarada.
Best Grass Type Deck and Cards Tier List

Sabrina and Cyrus can draw the Benched Pokemon of your opponent out into the Active Spot while they are still unevolved or unprepared, which also keeps you safe from Bonemerang. Alternatively, you can also use cards that can damage Benched Pokemon such as Genetic Apex Hitmonlee.
