Omastar	Kabutops	・Omastar can stun lock defenders, forcing a retreat. ・Leech Life allows Kabutops to effectively stall while you set up for Omastar. ・Very effective in disrupting enemy setups.

Having Chansey early on along with the Dome Fossil allows you to evolve into Kabutops sooner, while Chansey serves as your early game staller, since the Dome Fossil cannot attack until evolved.

Having an X Speed also allows you to retreat Chansey once Kabutops is fielded, preventing your opponent from scoring.

Starting with the fossils along with Poke Balls is not bad either, giving you more options to decide which fossil to evolve.

Aerodactyl is also effective at disrupting setups, but requires a little bit of luck in order to send the defending Pokemon back to your opponent's Deck.

Strategy 1: Kangaskhan Stall

Chansey Stall

Starting with Chansey gives you enough time to stall while you stack energy and evolve your Fossils. Use X Speed to recall Chansey after setting up, and field either Kabutops or Omastar to start earning points!

Strategy 2: Omastar Stun Lock

Omastar Stun Lock

Once Kanto Fossils are set up, retreat Chansey (or allow it to be defeated) and attack with Omastar to block your opponent's offense, basically forcing them to retreat and waste energy.

If Omastar's HP falls dangerously low, you can have it retreat and use Kabutops to deal damage with Leech Life instead.

Strategy 2: Kabutops Wincon

Kabutops in the end game can be frustratingly hard to take out and can often take over games. Be sure quickly remove Pokemon that can OHKO Kabutops like Mewtwo ex with its Psydrive!

Overall Consistency

The Kanto Fossils deck is relatively easy to use, with the only caveat being that you need to be lucky with draws to get the required evolutions. Once Kabutops and Omastar are set up, they are effectively point-and-click every turn, until you whittle down your opponents!
