Exeggutor ex can evolve and attack as early as turn 2 since it's a Stage 1 and single-energy attacker. Exeggutor can stay in the Active Spot while Bellsprout sets up on the Bench. Victreebel's Fragrance Trap Ability can make for checkmate scenarios, allowing you to take out a damaged Basic Pokemon.

Victreebel is a menace late into a game. Fragrance Trap allows you to choose an opponent's Benched Basic Pokemon to gust out and KO with Exeggutor ex.
