Arcanine ex and Moltres ex Deck
[★ Best ★] |
Strengths:
• Can deal high damage with only 1 evolution line, even against other ex Pokemon. • Compared to other Fire-type Pokemon, Arcanine can use its moves without worrying about energy. • Moltres ex is an ideal starter that can accelerate Energy onto Benched Pokemon. Weaknesses: • Weak against decks that can't be OHKOed like Mewtwo ex, Charizard ex, and Blastoise ex. • Inferno Onrush also damages Arcanine ex, making it easier to KO. |
Charizard ex and Arcanine ex Deck
|
Strengths:
• Moltres ex is an ideal starter that can accelerate Energy onto Benched Pokemon. • Inferno Onrush also damages Arcanine ex, making it easier to KO. • Arcanine ex is an alternate Attacker to Charizard ex, which can do a decent 120 without having to lose Energy. Weaknesses: • May be less likely to start with Moltres ex because the deck runs lots of other Basic Pokemon. |

Arcanine ex functions in this deck as its main attacker, with Moltres ex being used as an Energy accelerator. Mew ex can also be brought in to OHKO high-HP opponents that Arcanine cannot knock out with Genome Hacking.

This deck has Arcanine ex as a primary attacker, with Genetic Apex Charizard ex as a finisher. Arcanine ex fixes Charizard ex's problem against single point attackers, by having an attacker that doesn't need you to commit a lot of resources, and also does not require you to lose Energy when it attacks.

While Arcanine ex is setting up in the Bench, you can provide it Energy with Moltres ex's Inferno Dance. This allows Arcanine ex to use Inferno Onrush as soon as possible with good coin flips.

Arcanine ex does not have the best durability because of its recoil damage. You may want to heal it or increase its HP with the Giant Cape so it can survive longer.

Inferno Onrush only deals 120 damage, which cannot knock out bulkier opponents. You can deal additional damage with Supporters such as Giovanni and Red, or equip Arcanine ex with a Rocky Helmet to damage your opponents upon being attacked to bring them closer to KO range.

Using single-type attackers forces your opponent's Arcanine ex to attack more times, since they would need to knock out three pokemon instead of two. This allows Arcanine ex to take more recoil damage, putting it into an HP range where you can knock it out more easily.

Water-type Pokemon not only have a type advantage against Arcanine ex, but they are also able to accelerate their energy with Misty without having to switch Pokemon in and out.
While a lot of Water-types have higher Attack Costs, some like Starmie ex and Articuno ex can set up faster, as they require less Energy. You may use them to deal with Arcanine ex effectively, especially if your opponent is unable to set up properly.
