Magma Blade Location, Stats, and Scaling

Magma Blade is a Curved Sword in Elden Ring that scales with Strength, Dexterity, and Faith. Read on to learn how to get the Magma Blade, as well as its location, description, upgrades, stat requirements, and best Ashes of War.

Magma Blade Location

Dropped by Gelmir Man-Serpents in Volcano Manor

Magma Blade has a 1% chance to drop from Gelmir Man-Serpents that wield them (bright orange curved swords) in Volcano Manor.

Two such Man-Serpents can be easily farmed by using the lift north of the Temple of Eiglay site of grace. However, this lift is locked by default and you will have to find a way around the manor to activate it.

How to Reach the Magma Blade Farming Spot

1
After defeating the Godskin Noble, a lift near the site of grace will become active, which you can use to get to the second floor.
2
You will then have to loop around the lava-filled area with the slugs and reach the tower guarded by a Virgin Abductor. Past this tower is the Magma Blade farming spot, as well as the lift that will create a shortcut to the Temple of Eiglay site of grace.
3
Once you've activated the lift, you can return to the farming site (from the Temple of Eiglay) by taking the north exit.
4
Look to your right immediately after going outside to find the tower where the lift is.
5
The lift will take you back to the dark room where you can find the nearest Man-Serpents with Magma Blades.
6
The path on your right leads to a Man-Serpent that you can sneak behind for a critical hit.
7
Go back to the previous room and take the other path. You might have to walk further northwest if you don't immediately see the Man-Serpent.

Boost Drop Rate by Increasing Item Discovery and Arcane Stats

Items That Boost Item Discovery
Talismans Silver Scarab (+ Item Discovery)
Outer God Heirloom (+ Arcane)
Marika's Soreseal (+ Arcane)
Consumables Silver-Pickled Fowl Foot
Silver Horn Tender
Armor Silver Tear Mask (+ Arcane)

Magma Blade has a base drop rate of 1% from Gelmir Man-Serpents so we highly recommend boosting your item discovery rate by using items like the Silver-Picked Fowl Foot and the Silver Horn Tender to increase the chances of Gelmir Man-Serpents dropping the Magma Blade.

Additionally, you can also equip the Silver Scarab talisman to give you a hefty boost to your discovery rate.
