How to Use Gargoyle's Black Blade

Scales with Strength, Faith, and Dexterity

The Gargoyle's Black Blade mainly scales with Strength followed by Faith and Dexterity. Adding points to Strength will have the most bonus physical damage gain while if you want adding points to Faith will have the most bonus Holy damage gain.

Good Holy Damage Weapon

This greatsword is capable of dealing additional Holy damage making it a particularly good weapon against enemies that have a low resistance to this damage type. Pairing it with the Two Fingers Heirloom talisman will increase your Holy damage output by raising your Faith attribute.

Weapon Skill can Hit Targets from Afar

This weapon is not infusable with Ashes of War and has the unique weapon skill Corpse Wax Cutter by default. When this skill is activated, it raises the sword high above the user's head before bringing it down and firing a blade-like projectile that inflicts Holy damage.

Weapon Skill Damage Scales with Faith

Heavily investing in Faith will greatly increase the amount of damage this weapon skill can do. Additionally, you can equip the Sacred Scorpion Charm talisman that will increase the damage of your Holy attacks at the expense of lowered damage negation.
