How to Use Coded Sword

Exclusively Scales with Faith

The Coded Sword is a Faith straight sword that only scales with this attribute and only deals Holy damage. This weapon is particularly effective against enemies with a low resistance to Holy and its damage output can be improved with the Two Fingers Heirloom talisman that raises your Faith attribute.

This sword's attacks do not easily bounce off when hitting shields and certain enemies which are commonly experienced by other small weapons. It can continuously attack a blocking enemy uninterrupted even while only one-handing the weapon where other armaments would require you to two-hand it.

Unblocakable Weapon Skill

This is not infusable with Ashes of War and has the skill Unblockable Blade as its weapon skill. This skill imbues the sword in light before unleashing a wide horizontal slash that cannot be blocked and inflicts Holy damage.

Since the Coded Sword only does Holy damage, it will greatly benefit from the effects of the talisman Sacred Scorpion Charm.

Not Recommended Against Enemies With Holy Resistance

Because the Coded Sword only deals Holy damage, it's not recommended to be used against enemies with high Holy resistantance or even those immune to Holy. Notable enemies would be Radagon of the Golden Order, who has very, very high Holy resistance, and the Elden Beast, who will heal when dealt Holy damage.
